Introduction to Algebra
Algebra is often referred to as the language of Mathematics.
In Algebra letters are used to represent numbers.
The letters are used to stand for a value when the value is unknown or varies.
I am currently a full time maths teacher at a high school. I have a first degree in Engineering and a teaching qualification in maths. I am able to tutor maths from KS2 to ‘A’
level. I enjoy teaching; I relate well with my pupils and have very high expectations of pupils
I teach. Maths is generally perceived to be boring but I teach it in a fun way and most of
my pupils have grown to love and enjoy maths.
